Heritage Prepares For Nation-Wide Launch
September 8, 2009
(ORANGE BEACH, Ala.) – Representatives from Heritage Motor Coach Resort and Marina (Heritage), the region’s first luxury resort boasting a waterfront location, announced today that final construction is set for completion in the coming weeks. This 79-lot resort, located on the shores of Bayou St. John with 42 deep access boat slips and views of the Gulf of Mexico, is already drawing national attention and expected to bring an influx of economic activity to the region.
Just 30 miles west of Pensacola and 50 miles east of Mobile, Heritage is being developed locally by Duke Gibbs. A project catering to the upscale luxury lifestyle of the baby boomer generation, Gibbs continues to
buck industry economic trends with a quality product and growing sales numbers. And to top it all off, he’s just 27 years old.
Gibbs, who has embraced the entrepreneur spirit since the early age of 14, is driven by the motto, “Anyone can overcome most anything by working harder, maintaining a good attitude, and doing what’s right.” He selected the Orange Beach area as a prime destination for motor coach owners. The beautiful Emerald Coast beaches, local Southern hospitality and variety of outdoor activities were all contributing factors in the decision.
“These Class-A owners are experiencing destinations in coaches that exceed $500,000,” said Duke Gibbs, founder of Heritage. “They are driving the demand for high-end resorts catering to this upscale lifestyle.
Heritage is breaking the mold, offering unique luxury ownership opportunities that combine the loves of both the RV and boating lifestyle in one of our nation’s most beautiful destinations.”
According to the Recreational Vehicle Industry Association, in 2010 RV ownership will exceed 8.5 million, up from 7.9 million in recent years. The study forecasts that the baby boomer generation is reaching retirement age – and driving favorable population trends and purchase intentions. With high-end Class-A motor coach ownership helping to fuel this rising trend, it translates into local economic dollars for the cities they visit.
“Projects such as Heritage are beneficial for our thriving tourism industry and help to bolster our local economy,” said Mayor Tony Kennon of Orange Beach. “Most recent findings from the Gulf Coast Convention and Visitors Bureau reported four million annual visitors, resulting in 1.6 billion in travel-related expenditures.”
With a name derived from the over 75 ornate oak trees preserved onsite, Heritage offers a unique combination of natural greenery and pristine waters. The location, coupled with amenities such as a second-story pavilion overlook, stunning clubhouse and resort-style pool, positions Heritage to be the first five-star luxury resort of its kind.
